Category and Criteria for International Students

The applicant should be non-Chinese citizen, with healthy body and good behavior. The applicants should abide by the law of China and regulations of the school moreover should respect the manners and customs of Chinese. In the situation of language students applying for professional departments, the applicants must achieve the requirement of Chinese language level. Our school sets Chinese Language Proficiency Test for every year and qualified students can get into professional studies, unqualified students should be back to college of international education to study Chinese language. Students, who are applying for liberal arts major, should pass 6 level of HSK and applicants of majoring in science and engineering should have 3 level of HSK. Admitted undergraduates and postgraduates’ language proficiency is already checked so they can sit out the test. There are no requirements for senior Scholars and research scholar but they should be capable of having normal language exchange with their teachers and professors.

I. *Degree Courses

1. Undergraduate: the applicants should have education background, which is equal to that of Chinese high school students,. After passing test or assessment of our school, students can enter professional studies as Transferred students with 4 years' schooling. The Chinese government scholarship students’ should be on five to six years schooling (including one to two years training). The Inner Mongolia autonomous region government scholarship students are five years and includes one year of Chinese training. The student, who completed the learning content prescribed by the teaching plan, got full credits, passed all test and the graduation thesis arguments, can get the diploma. Students can have degree certificate under the circumstance of meeting the requirements of the degree.

2. Postgraduate: International students should possess education background, which is equal to Chinese undergraduate level, and after passing the entrance exam of postgraduates, or qualified students studying for doctorial degree, can enter professional studies. The schooling is 3 years and that of the Chinese government scholarship students is four to five years (including 1-2 years Chinese training).The student, who got full credits, passed all test and the graduation thesis argument, can get the diploma and degree certificate. 

3. Doctorial Degree：Students should have education background of correspondent to Chinese Postgraduate Student of China. Students have recommendation letters from two associate professors moreover pass the entrance examination of doctor student, or qualified students studying for doctorial degree, can enter the professional studies with specialized tutorial. The shoaling is 3 years and that of international students on Chinese government scholarship is four to five years (including 1-2years Chinese language training).  Students after getting full credits, having certain research accomplishment and passing the doctoral thesis argument, can get the graduation certificate and doctor's degree certification.

II. *Non-degree Courses

1.Senior Scholar Student ：Students, who have education, back ground, which is equal to master degree of Chinese students or doctoral candidate, can select all majors of master or doctor. With the guidance of school’s professor, students can improve the professional knowledge and accomplish study plan and then can get the education certificate. The schooling is limited within one year.

2. Researchers：Researchers, who have equivalent degree with Chinese university professors or associate professors, can do professional researches in our school. The time limited within one year.

3. General Visiting Student：Students with education background correspondent to Chinese high school student’s level, can select our school’s undergraduate major, with accomplishing studies, students can get the education certificate. The time is one to two years.

4. Short-term language studies: students, who have education background correspondent to Chinese high school student’s level, can apply for entry level or basic level Mongolian language training. According to the self-requirement of level of Mongolian and Chinese language, students can study Mongolian or Chinese language in the College of International Education. The schooling is one semester, one academic year and two academic years.  At the termination of studies，after passing the test or getting qualified results on courses, students can get course-completion certificate.

5 -Short-term language studies: the school offers short-term language studies of Mongolian and Chinese language during the summer vocation. Students with education background correspondent to Chinese high school level can apply for all levels classes from entry level to the advanced class. Application time is from May 20 to June 20. Studying time is from July 20 to August 20. Students can combine the short-term study with grassland tourism. The school can do detailed study and travel plans for students, according to their requirements.

III. *Schooling and term

On-degree students: The schooling of undergraduate is 4 years, and that of postgraduate and doctor is 3 years. If the student cannot graduate in time, the students can apply for an extension but the limitation is 2 years. During the extension, students should pay the tuition fee according to the extension. Students, who completed course, can graduate a head of graduation time, but three years’ tuition fee should be paid.
